Coplay Public Library: Calling all ‘Downton Abbey’ enthusiasts
Join us 1 p.m. Sept. 21 for a special salute to “Downton Abbey.” We will be showing the first and last episodes of the popular show, followed by group discussion and a lovely tea party served by an enthusiastic staff.

Need some laughs? Come to a comedy night benefiting the library at Wisecrackers Comedy Club at Ramada Inn, 1500 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, Sept. 21. Doors open 8 p.m., and the show runs 9-11 p.m.
There is a cost.
The star of the show, Sean Donnelly, is considered one of the top touring comedians in the country and has appeared on many television shows, including “The Late Show” and “Last Comic Standing.”
Tickets are available at the library. You may also purchase them at the door.

Game night for our Scrabble players will be 5-7 p.m. Sept. 30. Our experts are looking to challenge and teach you their strategies.
We have other board games available, or bring your own favorite.

Don’t forget, storytime and crafts with Miss Veronica will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 19 and 26 and Oct. 3. Children of all ages are invited to attend.

Our blockbuster fall book and bake sale is just around the corner. Join us 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5 and check out some great treasures.
While you’re picking out your items, don’t forget to browse the bake sale, filled with delicious homemade treats.
If anyone would like to bake for the sale, contact a board member or stop into the library.

Drop off donations any day the library is open. While we no longer take textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books or VHS tapes, we would love to be able to find a home for your books and DVDs.

The library will be participating in Boscov’s annual Friends Helping Friends day, Oct. 16. You can purchase your shopping pass at the library on or before Oct. 16.
Bring it to Boscov’s, and you will get 25 percent off your purchases. Some exclusions apply.
All proceeds from the purchase of the shopping pass go to the library.
