Piano, plus: The Piano Guys return at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13, to the State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. The Piano Guys have made more than 65 music videos since 2011, including their hit, multi-handed version of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful,” and a reinvention of the song, “Let It Go,” from Disney’s animated feature movie, “Frozen.” The Piano Guys, each of whom hails from Utah, are pianist Jon Schmidt, cellist Steven Sharp Nelson, videographer Paul Anderson, and music producer Al van der Beek. As of August 2018, the group has had more than1.6 billion views on its YouTube channel and 6.2 million subscribers. The group’s first six albums, “The Piano Guys,” “The Piano Guys 2,” “A Family Christmas,” “Wonders,” “Uncharted” and “Christmas Together,” each reached No. 1 on the Billboard “Classical Albums” and “New Age Albums” charts. New name: Ward Hayden & The Outliers performs at 8 p.m. Sept. 14, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem. The band, formerly Girls, Guns & Glory, will play songs from its latest album, “Can’t Judge a Book,” released Aug. 24. The album of covers includes songs by Chuck Berry, Nick Lowe, Doc Pomus and the original song, “Naturally Crazy.” The group was described as “Modern-day Buddy Holly plus Dwight Yoakam divided by the Mavericks” by Rolling Stone magazine. “We have always considered ourselves outliers in the world of country music,” says Hayden of the group’s name change. The Boston-based band, founded in 2005, is on a 20-date tour that began July 21 and concludes Sept. 26.
