MACUNGIE POLICE
Annie Jane Badasarian, 39, of Bethlehem, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 900 block of Willow Lane July 12. According to Macungie police, a police vehicle was nearly struck by another vehicle while traveling through the 900 block of Willow Lane, prompting the traffic stop. Badasarian, who allegedly was driving the vehicle, was transported to Central Processing, according to police.
Jean Henriquez, 28, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Main Street July 12. According to Macungie police, police witnessed Henriquez allegedly openly smoking marijuana while operating a vehicle in the 200 block of West Main Street. Henriquez was transported to Central Processing, according to police.
Melissa Ann Moser, 49, of Northampton, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after police were dispatched for a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks at the Main Street railroad crossing July 21. According to a media release, police found the vehicle got stuck while it was attempting to travel on the tracks as a train would. Several bystanders assisted to push the vehicle off the tracks before a train would arrive. Moser was transported to Central Processing, according to Macungie police.
A 38-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was cited for alleged public drunkenness after police were dispatched to the 100 block of East Main Street July 5. According to Macungie police, officers responded to the location for a suspicious male slumped over a bridge rail. An investigation revealed the male was intoxicated. A citation was issued.
Bruce Lee Edmonds, 36, of Macungie, allegedly removed a total of $803.25 in merchandise and cash over the course of three months while employed at Turkey Hill Markets, 141 W. Main St., according to Macungie police. Police were dispatched for the report of a theft July 22.
Barry Wayne Amato, 64, of Macungie, allegedly removed a total of $334.31 in cash and merchandise over the course of four months while employed at Turkey Hill Markets, 141 W. Main St., according to Macungie police. Police were dispatched for the report of a theft July 23.
A 20-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly removed a case of Mike’s Hard Lemonade from Bear Swamp Beverage, 100 W. Main St., July 30, according to Macungie police.
