Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society is sponsoring “A Gathering at the Cabin” 3-7 p.m. The rain date will be Sept. 15. Stop by the Schubert-Graber log shop, 6561 Powder Valley Road, Zionsville and learn about the plans for the log shop. Get a free hot dog and drink. All are welcome. Free clothing and food giveaway at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury, 1707 Church Road, Allentown, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free lunch will be provided. Sept. 15

St. Thomas More School’s 50th anniversary celebration golf tournament at Shepherd Hills Golf Course in Wescosville. Registration begins noon with a scramble format “shotgun start” 1 p.m. followed by dinner and prizes under the pavilion. The entrance fee includes greens fees, a golf cart, hot dogs at the turn and beverages for your group. Prizes will include a Pot-O-Gold, 50/50 raffle, closest-to-the pin, longest drive for both men and women and first, second and third place awards. The East Penn Chamber presents a municipal update luncheon 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gather Meetings & Event Center, 5402 Chestnut St., Emmaus. East Penn School District Superintendent Kristen Campbell, Emmaus Borough Manager Shane Pepe, Macungie Borough Council President Chris Becker, Alburtis Borough Council President Ron DeIaco and Upper Milford Township Manager Bud Carter will be the featured speakers. The Emmaus Historical Society will hold its September program 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fifth and Main streets, Emmaus. The program will continue this year’s theme of “Celebrate the Celebrations” and is titled “The 1909 Golden Jubilee Celebrating 50 Years of the Incorporation of the Borough of Emmaus.” It will focus on the various week-long events and parade and will be presented by Andrew Kerstetter. All are welcome to attend this free event.

Sept. 21

The Emmaus Main Street Partners will host a Farewell to Summer Festival 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 21 at Triangle Park. The festival features live music, kid’s activities, craft vendors, face painting, a dunk tank and food trucks. There will be a scarecrow trail and scarecrow decorating. The festival is held in conjunction with the Emmaus Historical Alliance for the Emmaus Heritage Festival 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. which is being held at the Emmaus Historical Society museum, 218 Main St. The Alliance members invite the public to attend the festival and enjoy food, entertainment, crafts and activities. Bus trip to Winterthur Museum to see COSTUMING THE CROWN with the Friends of the Emmaus Public Library. There are a handful of seats left. The event includes a tour of du Pont’s majestic home, tram rides through the 1,000-acre garden and a special exhibit of costumes designed for the Emmy Award-winning Netflix drama, “The Crown.” Tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis. Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society quarterly meeting will be held 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township Building, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. Michael Fegley will present a program about his bottle collection, most of which are from the local area. If you have a bottle you would like to share, please bring it to the program. Refreshments will be served after the program. All are welcome.

A festive autumn social will be held 7-10 p.m. at Brookside Country Club to benefit the Emmaus Public Library. The evening will feature wine tasting with hors d’oeuvres and chocolate plus a silent auction. Tickets are now available at the Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St.
