A 26-year-old male, of Emmaus, was charged with harassment after he allegedly struck a person in the face with a closed fist when an argument escalated at a location in the 3700 block of James Street, Upper Milford Township, 9:37 p.m. July 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Charles Lenier Braswell Jr., 45, of Allentown and Charles Thornton, 55, of Allentown, were placed into custody and charged with retail theft after they allegedly attempted to remove $571.75 worth of food and other merchandise from Weis, 3396 Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, 5 p.m. Aug. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The males were observed on surveillance camera recordings. The men allegedly attempted to remove top sirloin steak, diapers, snack chips, Hefty bags, Tide laundry detergent, bags of raw shrimp, Monster energy drinks, paper products and overnight pads.
Ronald Richard Phillips, 57, of Whitehall, allegedly attempted to remove three toaster ovens, two air fryers and five pairs of men’s shorts from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:03 p.m. July 31. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, Phillips allegedly placed the items in a shopping cart and was stopped by loss prevention personnel when he attempted to exit the store without paying. He allegedly abandoned the shopping cart and fled on foot into the parking lot to a vehicle.
Carl Anthony Hewitt, 33, of Allentown and Tamoya Chantell Dillard, 40, of Allentown, were taken into custody after they allegedly took $767.51 worth of merchandise, including household appliances, bedding and clothing, from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:42 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Hewitt and Dillard were allegedly attempting to leave the store parking lot when they were apprehended. They were taken to Lehigh County Central Booking Center, All items stolen were recovered and returned to the store.
