Senior citizens residing in the 183rd Legislative District are invited to state Rep. Zach Mako’s, R-183rd, third annual free senior expo 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 13 at Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville.

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit with more than 75 local, state and federal agencies and organizations offering information on programs and services available to seniors.

Free flu shots will be available, assuming no manufacturing delays.

Free health screenings, including vision, balance and blood pressure, will also be offered.

In addition, CarFit will again be on hand.

This free, interactive and educational program is designed to improve older driver safety by providing information on minor adjustments that can help a senior’s vehicle “fit” better.
