Lynnport Fire Company, Behler Road, Lynnport will celebrate its 75th anniversary on Sept. 7.

Parade begins 2 p.m. and doors open 3 p.m. Food and beverages will be available.

The formal program with speakers commences at 4 p.m.

There will be a disc jockey and dancing until 8 p.m.

The Lutheran Church Women of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 4118 Main St., Slatedale, is sponsoring its annual yard and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 7 downstairs in the social room.

This event will be held rain or shine.

There will be fresh baked cakes and goodies for sale.

Homemade chicken noodle, ham and bean soup and halushki will also be for sale by the bowl or quart.

A menu of barbecues, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and strawberry shortcake will be available for hungry yard sale shoppers while they browse through the many tables of “something for everyone” items.

There will also be attic items and treasures at the sale.

Profits from this fundraiser will be used for major repairs to the church.

The clothing closet at Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, will be open from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 12, and from 10 a.m.-noon Sept. 14.

Clothing is available for the entire family.Take as much as you need. Proof of need is not required.

Friedens Lutheran Church, 9727 Red Road, Stony Run, will have its apple festival on Sept. 21. The event will take place rain or shine.

Food, including apple dumplings, tarts, crisp and fritters, funnel cakes, ice cream, hamburgers, fries, hot dogs, soup, barbecues and other home cooking will be served 2-8 p.m.

“The Majestics,” classic country, bluegrass and other music, will perform 5-8 p.m.
