South Whitehall Township

A Whitehall Township man died Aug. 29 in a motorcycle crash on Route 22 East in South Whitehall Township.

According to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, Adnan Hazim, 21, was the operator of a motorcycle that struck a stopped vehicle from behind just before 5 p.m. A nurse who was also in the traffic congestion got out of her vehicle and provided medical assistance to Hazim.

He was then transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead.

Route 22 East was closed for about two hours while the crash was investigated by Troop M’s Forensic Services and Collision Analysis and Reconstruction units.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office ruled Hazim died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.
