Zephyr Elementary School will hold its meet the teacher night 6-8 p.m. Sept. 5. Parents/guardians will have the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and tour the building.

This event is a great way to start the year!

The PTO book fair will also be open for parents at this event. It continues Sept. 5 and 6.

Smile — picture days are coming soon! All students will have their photograph taken, but purchase is optional. Students will be bringing home a brochure for parents to review.

Join the fun for Zephyr’s second Color Splash Run, set for noon Sept. 22. It is being held in the Whitehall football field parking lot.

Regular parking will be at the high school parking lot and the Schadt Avenue playground.

In Whitehall-Coplay School District, when your child is absent, a written note must be submitted within three days to deem the absence excused. When three unexcused days are accumulated, a truancy letter is sent home.

Truancy consequences have greater penalties under directives from Gov. Tom Wolf.
