Charter Arts to display Barnstone works

“Myron Barnstone: Master Student, Teacher and Artist,” featuring 38 original paintings, drawings and sketches, will open with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 6. Barnstone studied at the Boston School of Art and the Ruskin School of Art at the University of Cambridge, England. The internationally known artist had a local studio in Coplay for 35 years.

The exhibit, which closes Oct. 9, is on display in the Corpora Gallery, located at The Lehigh Valley Charter HS for the Arts, 321 E. Third St. For more information, visit www.charterarts.org.

Five join BASD Foundation Board

The Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District announces the appointment of five new members of its board of trustees, as well as the full slate of officers and board members for 2019-20.

The business and community leaders who will lend expertise to the foundation’s operations are, executive officers: President Jennifer Ceneviva, Vice President Matthew Malozi, Treasurer Michael Zile and Secretary Edward Boksan; and trustees: Karley Biggs Sebia, Edward Broczkowski, John Callahan, Todd Chambers, Janelle Creveling, Caroline DiPipi-Hoy, M. Arif Fazil, Joel Keeler, Victoria Montero, Jennifer Roeder, James Santanasto and Kerry Wrobel. Liaisons are Michael Faccinetto, Jodi Frankelli, Joseph Roy and Courtney Weikert.
