Luther Crest will host a free public educational seminar on financial planning related to health care and senior living communities 10 a.m. at the senior living community, 800 Hausman Road. A panel of experts will answer questions related to senior living, planning for future health care needs and the moving process, from listing, staging and selling a home to downsizing and successfully coordinating a move. Upper Milford Historical Society meeting, 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township building, Old Zionsville. Retired Pastor Tom Kochenderfer will bring Pastor Henry Melchior Muhlenberg to life in a serious yet amusing portrayal of the life (1711-1787) and colonial times of the first ordained Lutheran minister sent to early Pennsylvania. The Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus. The program will be “Changing Climate and Landscape” by Randy Fey. Come and learn how climate change will impact our plant species. Fey is a master gardener and Penn State University graduate in forestry with 45 years experience in the field. St. Thomas More School’s 50th anniversary celebration golf tournament at Shepherd Hills Golf Course in Wescosville. Registration begins noon with a scramble format “shotgun start” 1 p.m. followed by dinner and prizes under the pavilion. The entrance fee includes greens fees, a golf cart, hot dogs at the turn and beverages for your group. Prizes will include a Pot-O-Gold, 50/50 raffle, closest-to-the pin, longest drive for both men and women and first, second and third place awards. The deadline to register is Sept. 5. Bus trip to Winterthur Museum to see COSTUMING THE CROWN with the Friends of the Emmaus Public Library. There are a handful of seats left. The event includes a tour of du Pont’s majestic home, tram rides through the 1,000-acre garden and a special exhibit of costumes designed for the Emmy Award-winning Netflix drama, “The Crown.” Tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis.
