Catasauqua Area School District will be closed Aug. 30 and Sept. 2 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Regular scheduled classes will resume Sept. 3.

For students getting breakfast at school, it will begin Sept. 3. Breakfast starts being served 8:30 a.m.

Sheckler Home and School is a great organization you can become involved in. The organization assists in planning fun events for Sheckler Elementary students throughout the school year. The group also organizes fundraisers to help benefit the school and the students.

Home and School meets once a month to discuss and plan the future activities that will be held for the students of Sheckler. The first meeting of this school year will be held 6:30 p.m. Sept. 4 in the library. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend.

Home and School is a great way for parents to get involved. You can help out as much as you would like by volunteering some of your time where it would be needed or sharing your ideas. It is also a great way to meet other parents while working together to benefit Sheckler students.
