A parking complaint in the 200 block of Coplay Street brought out police.

Officers responded to a report of a dog, possibly a pit bull, running loose in the area of South Fourth Street and Keystone Alley.

A protection-from-abuse service was issued in the unit block of North Eighth Street.

Traffic stops were conducted in the 200 block of South Second Street and the 100 block of Chestnut Street. Citations were issued.

Officers responded to a report of a civil matter in the 800 block of Catherine Drive.

Police provided assistance with an animal complaint in the 100 block of Coplay Street.

A parking complaint in the 600 block of Chestnut Street brought out officers.

Officers responded to a request for a welfare check in the 100 block of North Second Street.

A suspicious male in the 100 block of Maple Street was reported.

AUG. 23

Police assisted in the rescue of a kitten stuck in the engine compartment of a parked vehicle in the 200 block of South Second Street. The borough fire department also responded. A foster home was found for the kitten.

A report of a fight between two females in the 200 block of Coplay Street brought out police.

Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief - flattened tires - in the unit block of South Second Street.

A report of a possible sinkhole in the 100 block of South Eighth Street brought out police.

A security check was requested in the 100 block of South Front Street.

Police responded to a noise complaint in the 300 block of Cherry Street.

A reckless driver in the unit block of North Front Street was reported to police.

Police responded to a report of a dog running loose in the 100 block of North Seventh Street.

Officers were called to the 800 block of Catherine Drive for a report of a residence lockout.

A welfare check in the 100 block of North Eighth Street brought out police.

Officers were asked to check the welfare of an individual in the 200 block of South Front Street.

Police assisted the Whitehall Police Department with a report of a fight in the 4500 block of Main Street.

A report of threats made in the 200 block of Coplay Street brought out officers.
