Coplay Public Library: Storytime event planned for Aug. 22

Storytime and crafts with Miss Veronica will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 22 and 29 and Sept. 5.

The library will be returning to normal hours Aug. 26.

The library will be open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Episodes 10-12 of season 1 of “Doctor Who” will be shown 4:30 p.m. Aug 26.

Episode 13 of season 1 of “Doctor Who” will be shown Aug. 28.

Everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring popcorn.

The library’s game night is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Aug. 26.

Our Scrabble experts are looking to challenge you and teach their strategies.

If you have other board games you would like to play, make a suggestion to a staff member.

The final summer program for adults is set for 6-7 p.m. Aug. 28. Participants will paint Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.”

Registration is required.

Don’t forget to turn in your reading logs by Aug. 30.

The library will be closed Aug. 31 and Sept. 2 for the Labor Day weekend. Have a safe and fun holiday!

The library will host a special salute to “Downton Abbey” Sept. 21 in recognition of the movie release.

The event begins 1 p.m. and will feature video clips from the series and a discussion of favorite moments.

There will be a comedy night to benefit the library Sept. 21 at the Wisecrackers Comedy Club at the Ramada Inn, 1500 MacArthur Road, Whitehall.

Doors open 8 p.m., and the show runs 9-11 p.m.

Sean Donnelly, the headliner, is considered one of the top touring comedians in the country and has appeared on many TV shows, including “The Late Show” and “Last Comic Standing.”

The fall book and bake sale is scheduled for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5.

If anyone would like to bake for the sale, contact a board member or stop into the library.
