A disturbance in the unit block of North Third Street was investigated.

Officers responded to a harassment complaint in the 100 block of South Second Street.

A child custody issue was handled by police.

The department addressed a report of a dog running loose in the 100 block of South Ninth Street.

An open door in the unit block of South Fifth Street was investigated.

Police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the unit block of North Front Street.

Officers assisted a citizen in the unit block of North Fifth Street.

A report of harassment in the unit block of North Third Street was investigated.

The department responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the area of Chestnut Street and Strawberry Alley.

A parking complaint in the 200 block of South Second Street was reported.

AUG. 17

Police responded to a domestic dispute in the unit block of North Eighth Street. One of the people involved was physically assaulted, and another had a handgun. Charges were filed for terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. An adult male was taken into custody the following day.

The department performed a security check in the unit block of North Eighth Street.

AUG. 18

A domestic dispute in the 100 block of Coplay Street was reported. It was noted a male and female were yelling.

Officers investigated a domestic offense in the 400 block of Chestnut Street.

The department assisted Catasauqua police with a traffic stop on Race Street.
