Video Daze, a 1980s tribute party band, will perform 7-10 p.m. Aug. 23 in the amphitheater at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St.
As always, bring those lawn chairs, blankets and snacks.
Just three more weeks to go, and the summer band series wraps up for summer 2019.

A back-to-school bash, organized by Revolution Church, will be held 1-3:30 p.m. Aug. 25 on the grounds of George Taylor House, Lehigh and Poplar streets, Catasauqua.
Highlights of the day include a bounce house, dunk tank, basketball toss and distribution of school supplies. Hot dogs, chips, snow cones and sweets will be provided.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is having a half-price sale on everything in the store Aug. 26-Sept. 7.
The shop will be closed Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
Normal business hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Donations of good, used, clean clothing are gratefully accepted during store operating hours. Proceeds from the shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association’s Biery House Museum and Art Gallery, 8 Race St., will be open 1-4 p.m. the first and third Sundays in September.
Come learn about Catasauqua’s amazing history. The art gallery showcases the homes, industry and people who made Catasauqua the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. It is also a great opportunity to make a donation of Catasauqua memorabilia.
Parking will be at the Deily Coal Yard, 5 Union St.
