EAST PENN SCHOOL DISTRICT

The East Penn School District launched a new district logo at the 2019 Emmaus High School Graduation Ceremony at the PPL Center, Allentown.

Over the years, there have been many iterations of the East Penn School District logo.

Last year, the district decided it was time to give the EPSD logos a much-needed refresh.

In early March, a communication team comprised of district personnel began the rebranding process with Lehigh Valley advertising design firm, Weidenhammer, to create a unique and cohesive new look for the district. The goal of the team was to develop a brand that would resonate with all of community stakeholders and represent teaching and learning in East Penn.

The East Penn community can expect to see the new logo on the district/school websites, social media and all communication materials.

After a lengthy process from conception to completion, the new logo is a cleaner, more sophisticated look that represents education in the East Penn School District.

The logo icon for EPSD uses the “E” and the “P” of East Penn and represents unity, inclusivity and resilience, while still being unique and versatile in many formats.

Using that icon, the Weidenhammer team paired it with a bold font that is easily legible both in small and large formats and complimented by a lighter font to tie it all together. The new color scheme of dark green, gold and a lighter green honors East Penn tradition.

Variations offer design choices for digital and print mediums.
