York College

More than 1,400 students were named to the dean’s list at York College of Pennsylvania. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Bob Jones University

Sarah Worsham, of Walnutport, was among nearly 600 students who graduated from Bob Jones University May 3. Worsham graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. During the 92nd commencement exercises, nearly 500 students received bachelor’s degrees, nearly 70 students received master’s degrees, and over 40 students received associate degrees. Three candidates earned doctoral degrees.

Albright College

Albright College congratulations the following students who made the dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, Albright students must earn a GPA of 3.75 or better while taking a minimum of three graded courses during a semester.

Bath: Ashley Hillegass studied fashion design with a minor in political science. She is a graduate of Nazareth Area High School.

Coplay: Lauren Blazofsky studied fashion merchandising. She is a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.

Rhode Island

At the University of Rhode Island’s 133rd commencement May 18-19, approximately 3,400 undergraduate and 740 graduate students became the university’s newest alumni. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.5; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees for nearly 1,300 students for the spring 2019 semester. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The cumulative GPA necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.4; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.6; and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.8.

Loyola University Maryland

Kelly Lukowski, of Bath, has been named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Loyola University Maryland. She is a member of the Class of 2021. In order to qualify for the dean’s list at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum quality-point average of at least 3.5 for the term, provided they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits in the term.
