Believe it or not, week eight at Camp Cementon has officially come to an end. This week was full of excitement and warm weather, which was the perfect way to end our summer.
On Monday, campers enjoyed several indoor and outdoor games such as Octopus Tag, Four Square and Wonderball.
As for Tuesday, Camp Cementon and Camp Jefferson combined to see “Toy Story 4” at the Roxy Theatre, as well as enjoying a warm day at the pool together.
On Wednesday, campers played Pacman, Red Light-Green Light and a competitive game of kickball. Our day at the pool was cut short due to thunderstorms, but we were given an opportunity to make our craft for the week - superhero masks. Campers and counselors alike enjoyed seeing all of the creative mask ideas and creations from the campers.
Thursday was our last regular day of camp, and it was filled with fun. We participated in dodgeball, Night at the Museum and Red Light-Green Light. In the afternoon, campers had a blast at the pool. Our wonderful lifeguards treated the campers to ice cream sandwiches, which was a much-needed surprise in the excruciating heat.
Our final day of camp was Friday. Camp Cementon and Camp Jefferson combined at Cementon Park for a fun-filled picnic. In the morning, campers played numerous games, such as basketball and KanJam. We then had a lunch catered by Samuel Owens in Coplay, which was enjoyed by the campers and counselors alike. In the afternoon, we wound down the summer with time at the pool.
Congratulations to our Campers of the Week - Tegan K. and Sage P. As well as naming our usual Campers of the Week, we also named our Campers of the Summer. Congratulations to Cory S. and Julia S. Keep up the great work!
We hope all of our campers had a fun-filled experience at Camp Cementon, and we wish the best to them as they head off to school this year. We look forward to another awesome summer at Camp Cementon in 2020!
