The Ancient Oak Women’s Organization recently announced recent Emmaus High School graduates Bryce Diehl and Joscelyn Hengeveld as recipients of the Gwen McQuillen Memorial Scholarship.
While at EHS, Diehl was a member of National Honor Society. He participated in junior varsity baseball, varsity volleyball and varsity basketball, serving as team captain. He also coached the EHS intramural basketball team. Diehl has worked part time as a counselor at Creation Station in Emmaus. Diehl will study biology at Lebanon Valley College, with the goal of attending medical school.
Hengeveld is a member of That’s Dancin’! and the Teen Advisory Board for the Lower Macungie Township Library.
As a Girl Scout, she planned events and led younger Scouts in activities. Hengeveld served on two Girl Scout advisory boards.
She works summers doing maintenance for the East Penn School District and plans to pursue a degree in fine arts at Lehigh Carbon Community College.
