JULY 22

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police during a traffic stop on Second Street.

In the 200 block of Race Street, a driver was cited.

An odor of gas in the 800 block of Bethlehem Road was reported to the department.

Police sought information regarding a citizen assist in the 500 block of Third Street.

A vehicle was tagged in the 100 block of South 11th Street.

Members of the department sought information regarding a citizen assist on Stonewood Place.

An adult was reported missing from the 400 block of Bridge Street.

Rachel Romig, 43, of Catasauqua, was cited for a noise/animal issue in the 400 block of Bath Avenue.

JULY 23

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police in looking for a victim in the 1600 block of Washington Street.

On Coplay Street, police and the department’s K-9 assisted Coplay officers with a search.

An investigation is continuing for an assault that occurred in the 600 block of Front Street.

In the 300 block of Walnut Street, a rear vehicle window was damaged due to criminal mischief.

Custody issues in the 600 block of Third Street were reported.

JULY 24

A written traffic warning was issued on Second Street.

Officers investigated a fuel spill at Pantry 1 Food Mart, 822 Race St.

In the 400 block of Bridge Street, a neighbor issue occurred.

Police responded to a report of a fraud scam on Covington Place.

A vehicle was ticketed in the 100 block of Front Street.

JULY 25

Child custody issues in the 400 block of Faith Drive were reported.

Charges were filed against Shavon Soto, 27, of Catasauqua, for strangulation, harassment and simple assault in the 100 block of Wood Street.

A vehicle was ticketed in the 700 block of Third Street.

In the 700 block of Third Street, a vehicle was on private property, police said.

On Second Street, a driver was cited.

Police provided an escort in the 400 block of Bath Avenue. Juveniles were returned home.

Members of the department sought information regarding suspicious activity in the 500 block of Fourth Street.

JULY 26

The theft of a package in the 600 block of Howertown Road was reported to police.

A hit and run took place in the 600 block of Bath Avenue. A cable wire came down.

Reckless drivers in the 500 block of Race Street were reported.

In the 900 block of Bridge Street, a dispute between a mother and son occurred.

Vehicles were ticketed on American Street and in the 500 block of Church Street due to parking complaints.

An investigation is continuing for an animal complaint that occurred in the 100 block of Howertown Road.

Officers assisted Coplay police with a fight on North Keefer Street.

JULY 28

An animal complaint case in the 400 block of Erie Street was referred to an animal control officer.

At Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., a dispute over custody occurred.

Officers assisted Whitehall and Allentown police departments in the 1200 block of North Sixth Street.

A problem with a juvenile in the 400 block of Bath Avenue was reported.

JULY 29

In the 700 block of Railroad Street, a dispute between a father and son occurred.

Police assisted North Catasauqua officers with a burglary in progress and an arrest in the 1200 block of Third Street.

An investigation is continuing for a burglary that occurred on Cambridge Place.

The department said an investigation is continuing for a theft that occurred in the 700 block of Second Street.

JULY 30

Police checked on a suspicious person at Catty Mart, 547 Front St.

At Whittier Place Apartments, officers conducted a citizen assist.

A civil matter occurred in the 400 block of Bridge Street.

A problem with a former neighbor took place in the 700 block of Third Street.

Traffic citations were issued in the 200 blocks of North 14th and Race streets and on Poplar Street.

Written traffic warnings were issued in the 200 blocks of Race and Lehigh streets.

Police sought information regarding a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Race Street.

At Whittier Place Apartments, an issue between a landlord and tenant took place.

An animal case on Race Street was referred to an animal control officer.

A juvenile left alone in the 300 block of Walnut Street was reported.
