Barry Wexler of Buchanan Street and several neighbors attended the July 8 North Whitehall supervisors’ meeting to voice their disgust with one of their neighbors.
The property owner about whom they were complaining allegedly lets his dogs run loose, has open fires, owns some structures that are falling down and basically leaves his property in disarray.
State police reportedly have visited the property frequently.
Township Solicitor Lisa Young noted that the property owner has been cited several times with the recent one being appealed.
Another resident also alleged this person will start up his skid loader at all times of the night.
In other matters, an application was forwarded to the board requesting that a 85.62-acre property at Coffeetown and Sand Spring roads be included in the township’s Ag Security District.
Supervisors voted to accept the application.
Other business included the release of escrow funds for the Zuber plan on Paradise Road, granting a waiver on the submission time for the North Valley Trade Center and the allocations for township recreation sites.
These included Orefield Athletic Association, $3,000; Schnecksville Playground, $4,500 and Neffs Playground, $1,500.
The road crew was busy erecting street signs, micro resurfacing, mowing, maintaining and repairing roads and working at the Laurys playground. Road Foreman Rich Deemer sat in the seat which formerly was Jeff Bartlett’s.
He handled some of the items which Bartlett previously did.
A motion to officially terminate Bartlett was passed by the board.
