Upper Macungie Township police will be participating in National Night Out 5-8 p.m. Aug. 6 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane.
This family-friendly evening celebrates the relationship between the police and the residents and businesses they serve, and their mutual interest in keeping the township a safe place to live and work.
This year’s event will feature food trucks, moon bounces, face painting, rides and amusements including a zip line, a beard contest with $100 gift certificate grand prize, car show with trophies and prizes, dunk-a-cop, Home Depot kids crafts, 50/50 raffle and more.
There will also be K-9 and traffic stop demonstrations, PPL safety demonstration, “Big Rig” trucking simulator and emergency vehicle displays.
Live music will be performed by Naughty Humphrey.
Admission, parking, and rides are free.
Food truck prices vary per vendor, and there is a suggested donation for the dunk-a-cop.
