Whitehall Township Public Library: Kids’ program ending Aug. 3

A reminder to all that the children’s summer reading program will end 4 p.m. Aug. 3. All reading logs must be submitted online or by paper copy at the front desk by that time.

The children’s wrap-up party will be 1-3 p.m. Aug. 10. Andy Armadillo, from Texas Roadhouse, will be here to say thank you for the wonderful summer reading.

Creation Station will be held 6:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 6. The program runs the first Tuesday of each month.

The Simply Play program is planned for 1:30-2:30 p.m. Aug. 7.

There will be Legos, building blocks, farm animals and other toys for children to play and share with others.

Toddler storytime will be held 10:30-11:15 a.m. Aug. 8.

***

Want to party before summer is over? Stop by and join the Wii Just Dance party 1:30 p.m. Aug. 8.

The Friends of the Library will meet 10 a.m. Aug. 9. Everyone is welcome to join.

The group meets the second Friday of each month, except for December.

Community heroes night will be 5-7 p.m. Aug. 13 at the library picnic area and parking lot. Representatives from Whitehall Township and Lehigh County fire, police, ambulance, coroner’s office and more will be present to show what they do to help and protect us.

The MedEvac helicopter may be here around 5 p.m. if it is available that day.

The adult summer reading program will end 4 p.m. Aug. 24. Submit online or by paper copy at the desk.

The adult wrap-up party will be 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 27. You may attend either party.

Mark your calendar for the fifth annual block party, for all ages, to be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 24 in the picnic area.

There will be yard games, tunes by deejay Kelly, food and a door-prize drawing.

The adult coloring club meets 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. This club is for anyone 18 and older.

The library has some supplies but invites you to bring your own as well.

The What Are You Reading Now? book club meets 1 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Patrons are invited to chat about whatever books they are reading at the moment - the ones you loved, the ones you hated and everything in between.

The beading club meets 1:30 p.m. every Monday and Thursday in the reference area.
