LETTER

Stephen’s Place Incorporated is a structured recovery house for men who have been incarcerated and suffer from the disease of addiction. It is a non-profit facility run by Director Sister Virginia Longcope and Program Coordinator Sherman Myers. Their mission is to help these men integrate back into society to become both successful and productive members of that society.

In order to continue to provide services to them, solicitation for funds and writing grants are essential. The need for a developer was being considered by our Board of Directors so one of our members reached out to Moravian College to help guide us in our quest.

The response from the Moravian Development Office was swift. Jill C. Anderson, vice president for development and alumni engagement, will give a presentation at our Aug. 21 board meeting that will give us an overview of the duties and necessary skill set of a development officer.

We are very thankful to the Moravian Development Office for their assistance in helping us pursue this new endeavor.

Sherman Myers, CRS
