Coplay Public Library: ‘Apollo 13’ shown July 29 at library
The free movies continue at Coplay Public Library. The entertainment begins 4:30 p.m.
The July 29 movie is “Apollo 13.”
The Aug. 5 viewing is episodes 1-3 of season 1 of “Doctor Who.”
The Aug. 12 showing is episodes 4-6 of season 1 of “Doctor Who.”
Everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring popcorn.

Reminder: Blast Off into Reading storytime will be held 11 a.m.-noon Thursdays - July 25 and Aug. 1 and 8. Everyone is welcome to attend; no preregistration is necessary.

The Out of this World game night will be 5-7 p.m. July 29.

The Da Vinci Science Center will visit the library noon-2 p.m. Aug. 17.
Participants will get to make their own stomp rockets and galaxy pinwheels. There will also be an astronaut agility course and a game called Jump to Jupiter.
The program is open to everyone. Feel free to bring a friend!

The library is collecting items for a time capsule to be opened in 2069.
Stop by the library with any suggestions or to place an item in the time capsule.

Munchkin Music with Miss Deb will be 4-5 p.m. Aug. 6.
There will be astronaut activities for children 3-4 p.m. Aug. 14.
The Escape Space program for teens is scheduled for 3-4 p.m. Aug. 21.
The final program for adults - a “Starry Night” painting event - is planned for 6-7 p.m. Aug. 28. Registration is required.

There is still time to register for the annual summer reading program and participate in the activities scheduled for both children and adults. This year’s theme is A Universe of Stories: Summer Quest 2019.

For August, the library’s display case will feature the Coplay Borough organizations that sustain our community - borough council, the fire department and the police department.
If you have photos, documents, news articles or other keepsakes, we would be happy to include them in the display. Anything you could tell us about the objects would be helpful.
