Globetrotting fine-art photographer Jacqueline M. Lewis has 27 images from her 25 years of travels in “A Passport to World Heritage Sites,” through through July 31, Theatre514 Gallery, Civic Theatre of Allentown.

Lewis spent the greater part of two years going through her photographs, researching the sites and editing the information that accompanies each image. She believes the pictures and text in the series can serve as an “educational social studies tool.”

The award-winning photographer focuses her camera on places listed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). One of her more recent works is “Portugal: Historic Centre of Oporto” (2018, photograph on canvas, 12 in. x 24 in.).

The photos include the Plaza Vecchio in Florence, Italy; Poland’s war-damaged interior of the Church of the Virgin Mary in Malbork Castle; China’s terra cotta warriors guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, and India’s Taj Mahal.

Her North American destinations include the ancient adobe Taos Pueblo in New Mexico, the Statue of Liberty on Independence Day, and Québec’s Soumande House, featuring a contemporary fresco of the city’s 400-year history.

Lewis received an economics degree from Muhlenberg College. She has studied fine arts and photography. Lewis worked in corporate communications for more than 25 years, including at Mack Trucks and with her own consulting firm.
