Victor J. Sobrado, 40, of Catasauqua, was killed in a car crash July 12, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem.

The incident happened approximately 11:50 p.m. on North Dauphin Street, south of North Irving Street, in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

According to the report from state police, Sobrado was traveling north on North Dauphin Street when he lost control of the 2007 Dodge Caliber he was driving during a right-hand curve in the roadway. The vehicle spun out of control, crossed the double yellow line and left the roadway before hitting a tree by the side of the road.

Sobrado was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
