Catasauqua police responded to these and other calls recently.

JULY 1

Officers assisted a citizen in the 400 block of Crane Street with protection-from-abuse information.

Police investigated a complaint of loitering/prowling in the 700 block of Bethlehem Road. The persons were located.

A neighbor dispute occurred in the 100 block of Prospect Street.

Police assisted an outside agency at Lehigh Valley International Airport, 3311 Airport Road, with a report of a plane in distress. The plane landed safely.

In the 800 block of Willow Drive, police assisted North Catasauqua officers with a report of a domestic dispute.

A dispute over the discipline of children occurred in the 500 block of Fourth Street.

JULY 2

A driver was cited in the 200 block of Race Street.

Shannon Ohl, 23, was arrested on Howertown Road for theft by unlawful taking or disposition, open lewdness and defiant trespassing, among other charges.

Police assisted in retrieving a vehicle in the 900 block of Bridge Street.

Members of the department assisted Lehigh County Children and Youth twice in the 800 block of Church Street.

Basketball players were sent on their way when officers investigated a noise complaint at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St.

A written warning was issued on Front Street.

A vehicle hit a tree in the 900 block of Bridge Street.

Police investigated an Internet scam in the 500 block of Bethlehem Road.

Items were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Second Street.

JULY 3

Officers sought vehicle repossession information in the 600 block of Front Street.

Vehicles were parked on private property in the 500 block of Front Street, police said.

A driver was cited on School Street.

In the 300 block of Second Street, a traffic citation was issued.

An unwanted person in the 200 block of Wood Street was reported to the department.

A domestic offense against family occurred in the 300 block of Church Street. Police responded twice.

In the 100 block of South Front Street, police investigated a death.

A driver was cited on Pine Street.

Police picked up a stray cat in the 400 block of St. John Street.

JULY 4

In the 100 block of Howertown Road, police investigated a parking complaint.

A civil issue occurred in the 100 block of South Front Street.

In the 200 block of Race Street, officers sought information regarding a threat.

A dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend occurred on Cambridge Place.

On Crane Street, a disturbance took place.

In the 700 block of Third Street, a dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend was investigated.

Ordinance violations, 13 in all, were investigated in the 700 block of Second Street, 200 block of York Street, 200 block of Circle Drive, 600 block of Bath Avenue, 100 block of Bridge Street, 100 block of Canal Street and 300 block of Howertown Road and on Faith Drive, Race Street and Front Street.

JULY 5

Vehicles were ticketed in the 400 block of Church Street and on American Street.

In the 700 block of Second Street, police assisted the fire department with a report of a trash can on fire.

A traffic citation was issued on American Street.

JULY 6

Police investigated an animal complaint in the 200 block of Edward Lane. The dog’s owner will be cited, the department said.

In the 200 block of Peach Street, a custody issue was investigated.

Persons were warned when officers responded to an ordinance violation on Railroad Street.

Three drivers were cited in the 200 block of Race Street.

JULY 7

A verbal warning was given to an owner in the 900 block of Race Street for an ordinance violation.

A traffic warning was given to a driver on Wood Street.

At Catasauqua Park and Playground, Damien Smith, 39, of Catasauqua, was cited for disorderly conduct.

In the 200 block of Race Street, a driver was cited.

An intoxicated man was sent home from Race Street.

Police responded to a report of an unwanted person in the 100 block of South Front Street. The report said there was a civil dispute over property.

A dispute between a husband and wife took place in the 100 block of Canal Street.

In the 200 block of Peach Street, a civil issue regarding a child occurred.
