The Salisbury Lehigh Valley Legion baseball team split two games last week. After a shutout win against Northern Valley, the Falcons (5-5-1) came up a few runs short against Carbon.

Salisbury 10, Northern Valley 0
Salisbury got a complete game shutout from pitcher Taylor Linn as the Falcons took down Northern Valley in five innings. Linn allowed just four hits and struck out three Charger batters.
Three Falcons (Will Rodriguez, Ernesto Fermin and Linn) each recorded two RBIs in the win. Bladimil Gautreaux scored two runs, while Kevin Cruz went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a RBI.
Eric Nothstein, Ryan King and Daulton Lorrah all went 1-for-2 for Northern Valley.
Saturday, June 29
Carbon 3, Salisbury 1
In a low scoring game, Carbon Monarchs edged Salisbury over the weekend with a 3-1 victory. Brad Buzzard pitched 6 2/3 innings for Carbon, picking up the win after he allowed just five hits and struck out 11 batters. Buzzard also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored. The Monarchs also picked up two unearned runs on two Falcon errors.
Salisbury’s offense once again struggled at the plate, scoring just one run and adding five hits. Ernesto Fermin and Mark Wilson each picked up two hits. Will Rodriguez pitched six innings and allowed just one earned run.
