Whitehall Township Public Library: Library is closed for holiday

A reminder that the library will be closed July 4 for Independence Day but will be open regular hours the rest of the week.

From the library board and staff, we wish you all a happy and safe Fourth of July!

Sign up now for the summer reading program for all ages - kids and adults!

The summer reading program is off to a wonderful start, and the sky is the limit.

Jolie Chylack, from Lehigh County Conservation District, will present the Buckets Full of Nature program about the sun and moon 10 a.m. July 18.

Everyone is invited to this program to learn more about these solar bodies.

Dawn Sellers, from Center for Vision Loss, will be presenting four programs at the library in July.

• July 24, 11 a.m. - Eyes at the Library storytime for preschool and early elementary age children to attend with their parents

• July 24, 2 p.m. - Teen Seen program about importance of eye care for students in grades 6-12

• July 25, 10:30 a.m. - Toddler Time storytime for ages 18-36 months with their parents

• July 25, 6 p.m. - Adult program about the impact of blue light. Free vision screenings will be available.

Wildlands Conservancy will be at the library 6 p.m. July 30 for a program titled Creatures of the Night. Learn about different nocturnal animals and their abilities.

All are invited.

Did you know there are two Whitehalls in Pennsylvania? At least once or twice a week, we receive phone calls from the Whitehall near Pittsburgh.
