Police say a Philadelphia man was charged with one count of simple assault, after he allegedly punched a 14-year-old boy just after 6 p.m. on June 22 over a dispute about their places in line for a roller-coaster ride at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, South Whitehall.
Marcel J. Jenkins, 31, was remanded to Lehigh County Jail under $5,000 bail by District Judge Karen Devine, according to court records.
South Whitehall police say Jenkins and the boy allegedly argued over ride seating arrangements for the Steel Force roller coaster.
After the two got off the ride, Jenkins allegedly approached the boy and continued to argue with him, and after some pushing and shoving, Jenkins allegedly punched the boy, police say, adding the boy suffered minor cuts to the inside of his lips.
In a separate instance, a Philadelphia woman was charged with nine counts of forgery on June 23, according to South Whitehall police.
Ebony Williams, 37, is facing felony charges for allegedly passing counterfeit $100 bills at nine different places in Dorney Park, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Williams was unable to post bail and was incarcerated in Lehigh County Jail.
Her preliminary hearing before District Judge Karen C. Devine was scheduled for 2 p.m. July 1.
