This was the first week of Camp Whitehall and the start to a great summer! The campers and counselors were extremely excited to be back at Jefferson Street Playground.

Throughout the week, we played a variety of games such as dodgeball, basketball, Spud, handball, Silent Ball and Jump the River. We also spent our afternoons swimming at the pool and jumping off the diving board. The campers also created superhero puppets for our weekly craft, which went along with our superhero-themed week.

On Friday, we concluded the week with our field trip to Skateaway. The campers had a blast and enjoyed playing Limbo and Four Corners while skating.

Time is sure flying by at Camp Jefferson, as week two is already in the books. This week we had the pleasure to share the park with Camp Cementon, which ensured an eventful fun week.

On Monday, the campers enjoyed action-packed games like Capture the Flag and dodgeball. The competition was high, so by the time the games were over, the kids were more than ready to cool off in the pool.

Then on Tuesday, there was a slight rain shower, but that didn’t stop us from having fun! The campers played games like Manhunt, Jump the River and Fastest in the West. Once the weather cleared up and was sunny, we all enjoyed the pool.

On Wednesday, outside games like Spud and dodgeball tired everyone out. But Splash Out cooled everyone off and woke them up just in time for the pool.

On Thursday, everyone tie-dyed their own T-shirt most of the morning as our weekly craft. The T-shirts came out vibrant and in an array of patterns. Everyone loved their personalized shirt. Later, the campers enjoyed a game of Red Rover, followed by a water relay before relaxing at the pool.

To end the week, both camps had a good time bowling at Town & Country Lanes on Friday. Based off their high scores, these campers must have been some of the best bowlers in town! Everyone also won many prizes from the fun arcade games. By the time we returned to Jefferson Street Playground, everyone was thrilled to go and enjoy the pool.
