Hawk Mountain Sanctuary will hold a volunteer weekend for teenagers (14 through 18 years old) 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 29 and 30 at the sanctuary, 1700 Hawk Mountain Road, Kempton.
Trail maintenance, managing and clearing out some invasive species so native plants can properly flourish and preventing spotted lantern fly infestations. Registered teenagers may be able to log their volunteer service hours.
Additional programs offered are the Hawk Mountain Trail Stewards, a service learning program for high school and college students and the Bill Parks Memorial Volunteer Program, for anyone who is dedicated to wildlife conservation and keeping Hawk Mountain running.
