Timothy Jay Hoffman, 54, of Macungie, allegedly removed a checkbook belonging to an 84-year-old resident of the 5300 block of Beaumont Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between March 29 and April 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Hoffman allegedly proceeded to fill out three checks for a total of $4,000 and forged the woman’s signature to the checks. He then allegedly deposited the checks into his own bank account and used the money, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville responded to a residence on East Mill Hill Road, Lower Milford Township, for the report of a back door screen cut sometime between 5 p.m. May 27 and 3:30 p.m. May 28. Further investigation revealed an unknown suspect attempted to gain entry to the residence by creating a hole in the screen and attempting to unlock the door. The burglar was unable to unlock the door and left the scene without entering the residence.
Pennsylvania State Police responded to a residence in the 4900 block of Mill Road, Upper Milford Township, for the report of a theft from motor vehicle and burglary overnight May 12. A flashlight had been taken from a vehicle and a drill, a charger and two batteries were removed from a garage. Eric Matthew Kishbaugh, 31, of Lawton, Okla., was placed into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after Pennsylvania Police Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 6800 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 8:19 a.m. June 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Joshua Candelaria, 27, of Alburtis, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at the intersection of South Krocks Road and Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 1:58 a.m. May 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 20-year-old female, of Wescosville, was found to be operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at the intersection of East Texas Road and Hidden Valley Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:19 a.m. May 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 44-year-old male, of Allentown, was found to be driving his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop for multiple code violations on Hamilton Boulevard at South Cedarbrook Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:26 a.m. June 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 51-year-old female, of Allentown, was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop for multiple code violations in the 4400 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 12:55 a.m. June 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Ira Steven Vanscyoc, 41, of Macungie, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a hit-and-run accident at Don Juan Mex Grill and Cantina, 1905 Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:13 p.m. Jan 30. According to a media release from Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, troopers responded to the restaurant on the report of an intoxicated patron who had struck a hand rail at the entrance of the building with his vehicle and left the scene without providing information. Vanscyoc allegedly left the restaurant and proceeded north on Brookside Road, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Police stopped the vehicle in the 4900 block of Hamilton Boulevard where he was taken into custody, according to police.
