Hokendauqua: First Presbyterian gets pastor
Congratulations to Christine Kass, newly installed pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, 3005 S. Front St.
On June 23, the ordination and installation of Kass as a minister of word and sacrament and pastor of the church was held. A reception took place after the ceremony.
First Presbyterian has been without a pastor for two-and-a-half years.

Hokey A.A. is offering free football and cheering camps at Bob Warke Field, 1351 Lehigh St.
Football camps will continue 6-7:30 p.m. July 7 and 14.

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, is planning its Vacation Bible School for 6-8 p.m. July 22-26, with the closing program July 28. The theme will be “Giddyup Junction - Taking God’s Love to New Frontiers.”
All children age 3 through grade 6 are invited to attend. The church asks that your child be potty trained or that you stay and enjoy the experience with your child.
A covered dish gathering will take place after the closing program.

The 11th annual Wheels of Faith car show and craft fair will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 17, with a rain date of Aug. 18, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The church will again donate part of the proceeds to Whitehall Area Food Bank.
