Coplay Garden Club meets 6 p.m. June 27 at St. John’s Lutheran Church social hall, 18 S. Third St.

The public is invited to attend, green thumb or not.

St. John’s Lutheran Church is finalizing plans for its annual picnic, scheduled for July 28 at the Coplay Parkway pavilion, Second and Keefer streets.

The picnic committee said the event welcomes church members and friends to the picnic.

There will be fun programs, such as “Let’s Make a Deal” and bingo, as well as music by Freddie Frederick Jr. Entertainment and a cakewalk.

Coplay Public Library’s summer program, Summer Quest 2019, is in full swing and includes something for all ages, from children to adults.

There will be a special program July 20 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing. Mark your calendar now.
