Albright College
Two Bethlehem residents graduated recently from Albright College. Paul Mason Leiby earned a bachelor of science degree in organizational behavior/applied psychology, summa cum laude. He is a graduate of Albright’s School of Professional Studies. Dominic Vincenzo Marfisi earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration: finance and marketing, cum laude.
Alvernia University
Jessica Cogill, a Bethlehem resident, earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree in Nursing at Alvernia University. She completed her studies at the main campus.
Arcadia University
Tara Wood, a Bethlehem resident, was awarded a bachelor of arts in education degree during Arcadia University’s 2019 Graduate and Undergraduate Commencement May 16 and 17.
Clarion University of Pennsylvania
Two local residents graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania during May commencement ceremonies. They are Andrea Dow, who earned a MSLS degree in information and library science; and Brittney Fodor, who earned a BS degree in liberal studies and graduated magna cum laude.
Colby College
Tayte M. Messman, of Bethlehem, graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, 2019, earned bachelor of arts degree at the college’s 198th commencement May 26.
Lehigh Carbon Community College
Several Bethlehem area residents graduated from Lehigh Carbon Community College during Commencement ceremonies May 15 at the PPL Center, Allentown.

University of Scranton
Five area residents earning master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Scranton during a commencement ceremony on May 25. The graduates are Raymond Garcia, master of science in nursing with a major in nurse anesthesia; Michael Hamann, master of business administration with a major in finance and accounting; Cedric J. Hickerson, master of science with a major in educational administration; Karyn E. Ihle, master of science in nursing with a major in nurse anesthesia; and Patrick M. Mergel, master of business administration with a major in accounting.
St. Joseph’s University
Rachel Pardoe, of the Bethlehem area, graduated with a 3.9 GPA summa cum laude and earned a bachelor’s degree in double majors of accounting and business intelligence and analytics from St. Joseph’s University May 18.
Susquehanna University
Susquehanna University conferred academic degrees on two Bethlehem area students at commencement exercises on May 15.
Emily Hoff graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in business administration. Natasia Martin graduated with a bachelor of science in neuroscience.
Widener University
Three area residents graduated May 17 from Widener University in a commencement ceremony at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia. They are Richard Buttillo, who earned a master of science in taxation & financial planning degree from Widener’s School of Business Administration; William Updegrove, who earned a doctor of physical therapy from Widener’s School of Human Service Professions; and Tejya Johnson, who graduated magna cum laude and who earned a bachelor of science in business administration in management with a specialization in marketing from Widener’s School of Business Administration.
