Northampton: Queenship to hold festival June 23

Queenship of Mary Catholic Church will hold its annual festival 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. June 23 on the church grounds, 1324 Newport Ave.

Food will include ethnic favorites like pierogies, longos (fried dough), cabbage and noodles and Vietnamese egg rolls. There will also be hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage sandwiches, turkey barbecues, “Aw Shucks” corn on the cob, funnel cake fries, french fries, Mario’s pizza, The Bayou macaroni and cheese, ice cream and assorted soft drinks, along with a beer and wine tent.

A bake sale will take place in the church social hall. Bingo will be held in the school gymnasium.

Children’s face painting will be available, and games will be played.

There will be a cash raffle and a basket raffle.

IronPigs’ mascot FeRROUS will visit 4-5 p.m.

MountainXpress polka band will perform 11:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

Flirtin with the Mob band will perform 4-7:45 p.m.

A Dip-N-Dance will be held 1-3 p.m. June 25 at Northampton Borough Municipal Pool, 1599 Laubach Ave.

The pool is open for the season noon-7 p.m. daily.

Another Dip-N-Dance is planned for 1-3 p.m. July 16.

Holy Trinity Nursery School, 1235 Main St., is registering for the 2019-20 school year.

The 2-year-old play group class meets 9:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Class size is limited to 12 children. Children do not need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 3-year-old class meets 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children. Children need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 4-year-old class meets 12:15-2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children. Children need to be toilet trained for this class.

Children must turn the appropriate age for the class by Sept. 1.

There is a registration fee and a monthly tuition cost.
