Favorite subject: I love math because it is the foundation for all science – beautiful, practical, ever-present. Physics allows me to apply math to the real world and prompts me to contemplate the universe.
Activities: Debate team and varsity tennis, co-captain; Liberty Life, features editor; math team, president; orchestra

Heroes: My parents are my heroes; they have taught me the power of empathy, word, and a strong work ethic.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): I qualified for the AIME (a national mathematics competition) and completed doped superconductor research at the Pa. Governor’s School for the Sciences.
Advice for peers: How many different lives would you live if you could? With so many different possibilities, it’s only possible to reach a fraction of your full potential. Put yourself out there and take chances.
