Several Salisbury High School graduates competed on college athletic teams in the spring 2019 season.

Evan Kulig, a senior infielder and pitcher for the Moravian College baseball team, eclipsed the .300 hitting average mark for the fourth time in his collegiate career. He finished 2019 batting .355 with a .414 on-base percentage to go along with 36 runs scored (career high) and 30 RBIs. Kulig also was one of the Greyhounds’ most effective pitchers as well with a 3-2 record. He finished with a 3.93 ERA and 66 strikeouts in 68.2 innings pitched.

Chase Rogers, Kulig’s teammate at Salisbury and now Moravian as well, also capped a stellar collegiate career. The Greyhound senior batted .276 as a senior with a .358 on-base percentage, scoring 10 runs and adding five RBIs. He finished his career with 35 RBIs and 32 runs scored.

Penn State senior Meghan Williams started in 28 games this past spring for the Nittany Lions softball team. She hit .181 and added four runs scored and four RBIs. She finished with a .981 fielding percentage and turned two double plays

Lilia Crouthamel got some playing time as a freshman for the Penn State softball team as she reconnected with former teammate Williams. Crouthamel batted .136 and scored seven runs. She finished with a .909 fielding percentage as an outfielder.

West Chester senior Holly Szita capped a successful collegiate career with an impressive senior season. She finished with a season-best height of 1.58 meters in the high jump event at the Bill Butler Invitational in early April.

Bloomsburg ace Chad Cooperman had a solid baseball season for the Huskies. The junior pitcher went 7-3 with a save on the mound, finishing 2019 with a 3.07 ERA. That was his lowest ERA of his collegiate career after posting a 6.55 ERA in 2017 and 4.29 in 2018. He struck out 78 batters and walked just 23. He hit in eight games as well, posting a .143 average with four RBIs and four runs scored.
