Coplay Public Library: Storytime is June 13

Blast Off into Reading storytime will be 11 a.m.-noon June 13, 20 and 27. No preregistration is necessary.

C. Well Bunny will give out free eye exams June 27.

Registration for the summer reading program, “A Universe of Stories: Summer Quest 2019,” begins with the Blast Off into Summer registration party noon-2 p.m. June 15.

There will be activities, events, games and much more.

Children and adults of all ages are welcome to join.

You can also stop by the library and register any time or you can register on our website, coplaypubliclibrary.org.

Coplay Public Library will be showing free movies 5-7 p.m. Mondays.

The June 17 movie is “Star Trek into Darkness,” the June 24 movie is “Star Trek: Beyond” and the July 1 movie is “Spaceballs.”

Everyone is welcome. Feel free to bring popcorn.

There will be a teen space escape room 3-4 p.m. June 19.

Mark your calendar now for a party marking the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing, set for noon-2 p.m. July 20.

Da Vinci Science Center will visit noon-2 p.m. Aug. 17.

The adult Shoot for the Stars program will feature a wineglass painting event 6-7 p.m. June 26.

Registration is required for this activity.

There are volunteer positions in the summer reading program available for students in grades 6-12.

Becoming a volunteer is a great addition to resumes or college applications.

To continue celebrating the borough’s anniversary, the library display will feature sports in Coplay.

If you have any photos, uniforms, pennants, programs, news articles, etc., the library will be happy to display them. All items will be handled with care and returned at the end of the month.

The items found in the time capsule buried in 1969 are also on display.

Call the library or stop in during open hours if you have any treasured items and would like to share them with others.

We are accepting donations for the October book sale. If you have any items you would like to donate, please drop them off during open hours.

We are no longer accepting VHS tapes, encyclopedia, textbooks or items that are torn, dirty or written in.
