Favorite subject: My favorite subject is government and politics. I think it is extremely important for citizens to be educated about what is going on in our nation. I also find it very interesting how our government works each day.

Activities: Student body president, Debate Team captain, soccer team captain, leader of the new charity club, The Movement, National Honor Society, Peer Listening

Next steps: I will be attending the University of Maryland to earn a degree in political science and business.

Career goals: I plan to attend law school after I receive my undergraduate degree.

Heroes: My heroes are my parents because of their unwavering confidence and support through everything that I do.

Hobbies: I have been dancing at Nardi Dance Studio for 15 years. I take ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and modern classes. I also love to paint.

Current job(s): I am a student teacher at Nardi Dance Studio, helping to teach and inspire young dancers.

Volunteer/community work: I went on a service trip to Germantown, Philadelphia, last summer. I also created a charity club at my school called The Movement, where we work with different nonprofit organizations in our community. Thus far, we have worked with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Operations Gratitude, Mary’s Shelter and Sassy Massey.

Likes: Shopping, dogs, writing, chocolate chip cookies

Dislikes: Cold weather, tomatoes

Greatest accomplishment (so far): My greatest accomplishment was gathering and leading a group of like-minded students who shared my passion to help others and created The Movement, our school charity club. We have worked with various incredible organizations. We planned a Student Body Lock-In event to raise money for a pediatric cancer organization, Sassy Massey, created by a Becahi alumnus. I couldn’t be more proud and grateful to work with such determined peers and plan a new event for the students at my school.

Advice for peers: Take very opportunity given to you, because you have no idea what may come out of it. Find the positives in every situation and always look at the glass half full, rather than half empty.
