A 23-year-old male, of Macungie, may face charges of driving under the influence after a one-vehicle accident in which his vehicle struck a utility pole along Indian Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:04 p.m. May 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver was traveling too fast for conditions when his vehicle left the road. The pole split in half and later caught fire. The driver showed signs of impairment at the scene, police said and also mentioned drinking prior to the crash. The male was transported to Lehigh County DUI Center for further testing.

A 37-year-old male, of Macungie, was under the influence of alcohol when stopped for multiple vehicle code violations at the intersection of Princeton Road and Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:49 p.m. April 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Pamela Lohmann Zepp, 55, of Zionsville was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance and allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 11:04 p.m. May 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Christopher Maria Dresen, 55, of Macungie, a passenger in the vehicle, also was taken into custody after he allegedly became uncooperative during the traffic stop and resisted arrest.

A 41-year-old male resident, of Lower Macungie Township, reported an unknown person opened a PayPal account using his personal information and charged $253.56 to the fraudulent account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 19-year-old male, of Allentown, sustained minor injuries to his head after his vehicle rolled over approximately three times in a one vehicle accident along Pennsylvania State Route 309 in Lower Macungie Township 9:32 a.m. April 28.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, the teen was traveling on the Route 309 on-ramp to Interstate 78 East at a high rate of speed. While negotiating a left curve in the road, the male lost control of the vehicle, a 2012 Honda Civic, and traveled off the right shoulder of the highway and into a grassy ditch, causing the vehicle to roll.

Cetronia EMS transported the driver to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A camouflage backpack was found in a field in the 7600 block of Steinsburg Road, Lower Macungie Township, May 16. The property is being held by Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438 to claim the backpack.

A 24-year-old female and a 26-year-old male were charged with harassment after an argument over gambling problems, finances and a cellphone escalated to a physical altercation at a location on James Street, Upper Milford Township, 4:43 p.m. May 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 35-year-old male, of Emmaus, was charged with harassment after a verbal argument escalated and he shoved a 49-year-old male in the face with his open palm in the 4700 block of Buckeye Road, Upper Milford Township, 6:27 p.m. April 26.

A 53-year-old male, of Macungie and a 47-year-old male, of Coplay, were charged with harassment after a road rage incident and brief dispute escalated at the intersection of North Krocks Road and Lower Macungie Road, 6:30 p.m. May 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The older male exited his vehicle and spit on the vehicle of the younger male. The younger male then exited his vehicle and kicked the rear passenger door of the older male’s vehicle. Both parties were charged with criminal mischief.
