ALLENTOWN

The Allentown Flag Day Association will have a flag-raising ceremony, rain or shine, noon June 14 at Allentown City Hall Plaza.

At 7 p.m. there will be Allentown Band concert in West Park at 16th and Turner Streets, including a patriotic address by Judge Melissa Pavlack of the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas.

Concert rain site is the auditorium of Willlam Allen High School.

Bugler Bob Sedlick, Jr. will call for the Presentation of the Colors by the AFJROTC of Louis E. Dieruff High School, under the direction of Senior Aerospace Instructor Maj. Timothy Page, USAF.

Allentown Band Conductor Ron Demkee will present John Philip Sousa’s ”Stars and Stripes Forever;” a tribute to all veterans during the “Armed Forces Salute;” and celebrated soprano soloist Evelyn Stewart leading the Star Spangled Banner and enhancing the traditional favorites of “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” and “God Bless America” among other patriotic tunes.
