District News: Carnival will be held June 6 at Moore Elementary School

Moore Elementary School, 2835 Mountain View Drive, will hold its spring carnival 4-8 p.m. June 6.

Early dismissals will be June 6-7 and June 10-11. Secondary students are dismissed 10:35 a.m., and elementary students dismiss noon. No lunches will be served.

The last day of instruction for students is June 11.

Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation is holding its 10th annual golf tournament June 17 at Woodstone Country Club, Danielsville. The foundation is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to “developing, promoting and financing innovative programs, which supplement and enhance the quality of education and provide the school community with extended learning opportunities and co-curricular experiences within the Northampton Area School District.”

The tournament will have a shotgun start 11:30 a.m. and will feature a four-person scramble.

The entry fee ($115) will include golf, cart, hot dogs and liquid refreshments during the day, an awards dinner after the golf, prizes for the top three foursomes in each of three flights (total of 36 prizes), a hole-in-one contest, free replay at Woodstone (Tuesday-Thursdays, no cart), a discounted coupon to play at Jack Frost and a tee gift for each golfer.

Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation is continuing its Buy a Brick fundraiser. Support the foundation by having your name engraved on a brick paver that will be placed within the plaza outside the entrance of Al Erdosy Stadium and the district swimming pool, adjacent to the back of the NAHS parking lot.

Included in this area are the bus loop and memorial plaza. This area is the center of the secondary campus outside the stadium and is open to the public.
