NORTH WHITEHALL: Union UCC offers Sunday School adventures

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, invites all children, preschool through grade five, to join some super stupendous summer vacation adventures on three Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

The first destination will be Africa, scheduled for June 9. The second will be Italy on July 21, and then to Greece on Aug. 18.

Children will travel with Director of Christian Education Kathy Bonsell and her tour guides to the different countries and learn about their culture, food, faith and music.

The youngsters are invited to wear play clothes, and meet Bonsell at the beginning of the worship service.

Interrupted Silence, a chamber vocal ensemble, will present a concert at Union UCC 3 p.m. June 2.

Under the direction of William Marshall, the group sings music from the Baroque period to the present. There is an admission fee.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, welcomes children to Vacation Bible School 9 a.m. to noon June 17-21.

The program this year is “Roar! Life is Wild - God is Good.”

Classes are for children ages 5 and older through those entering sixth grade. Children age 4 may attend if an adult stays with them.

Preregistration is preferred for the free VBS.

On the last day, a picnic lunch will be served for everyone, including parents.

On June 23, children will share the joys of VBS with the congregation.

Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, is taking registrations for Vacation Bible School, June 23-28.

All children ages 3 through fifth grade are welcome to join the adventure, “Roar! Life is Wild - God is Good.”

Classes begin 5:45 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to come for a family dinner each evening from 5-5:45 p.m.

Children will participate in Bible learning activities, sing catchy songs, play team building games, and experience one-of-a kind Bible adventures.

They will test out Sciency-Fun Gizmoz which they can take home and play with all summer.

Children will learn to look around them for God sightings.
