Sign-ups for fall 2019 sports - football, cross-country, boys soccer, girls soccer, girls volleyball, girls tennis, field hockey, coed golf and cheerleading - are taking place now in the Whitehall High School athletic office. Students must also get the appropriate paperwork.

To avoid financial obligation, freshman, sophomore and junior students must return all library books and pay any fines by June 3.

For graduation rehearsal, WHS seniors must report to the auditorium by 8:15 a.m. June 3. The doors will close promptly 8:15 a.m. Seniors will be assigned a designated bus for transportation to Stabler Arena, Bethlehem. Students are not permitted to drive to Stabler.

Seniors must attend rehearsal to participate in the graduation ceremony, which will take place 7 p.m. June 3 at Stabler. Practice could last until noon.

The ceremony is a service of dignity and respect for all members of the class. It is not an event for individual expression. Class members who bring attention to themselves or whose conduct is disruptive, rowdy or hazardous to the members of the class or audience will be referred to the police and may be denied participation in the ceremony. These class members may have the awarding of the diploma and transcripts withheld or delayed until disciplinary action is taken.

Noise makers, horns, etc., are not permitted at Stabler. These items will be confiscated by security, and you will be asked to leave the premises immediately.

The district requests everyone be considerate of all families. Everyone would like to hear the name of his or her graduate being announced.

Only graduates and high school personnel are permitted on the arena floor.

Reminder: Elementary students will be dismissed noon June 7, 10 and 11. No lunches will be served.

For the last day of school, June 12, students will be dismissed 10 a.m. Teachers will have a professional development day June 13.
