Marfisi earns finance award

Dominic Marfisi, of Bethlehem, was honored during Albright College’s end-of-year Honors and Awards Ceremony on May 5. The Liberty HS graduate and Business Administration- Finance major earned the Josh Laychock Award in Finance.

The award is given to a junior or senior finance track student who has completed at least two of three specific finance track courses and who has a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 at the time of the award.

Spirk named ‘Outstanding Student’

Kathryn Spirk of Bethlehem was named the recipient of the Thomas Bonomo Outstanding Student Award and the Outstanding Student in Psychology by the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania College of Liberal Arts.

The honor was part of the university’s annual end of the year awards ceremony May 5, in the McCormick Center on campus.

Avery inducted into psych society

Jada Avery of Bethlehem was inducted into Psi Chi Honor Society in Psychology at Kutztown University at its annual induction ceremony this spring.

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society for psychology majors, with chapters around the globe.

Hamann indicuted into business society

Cristie Hamann of Bethlehem and a masters of business administration in healthcare management and accounting degree graduate student, was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the business honor society, recently.

To be considered for induction, students must rank in the upper seven percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class or upper 20 percent of the graduating master’s class.

Ritter presents senior projecty

John Ritter of Bethlehem presented his senior project, titled Automated Flow Control System, April 28 for the College of Science and Engineering at Wilkes University. The mechanical engineering student was required to complete the senior project as part of the requirements to complete his degrees.
