“The Moment” is now: Viktorija Gecyte with Gene Perla Trio is on the 11th annual tour, “In The Moment,” including 7:30 p.m. May 17, “Jazz Upstairs,” Rodale Community Room, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown. Keep “The Light” on: The Oak Ridge Boys’ “Shine The Light Tour” stops at Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe, 8 p.m. May 17. The group’s four-part harmonies and upbeat songs have spawned dozens of country hits and a No. 1 pop smash, and earned a Grammy during four decades of charted singles and 50 years of tradition. The Oaks are lead singer Duane Allen, bass singer Richard Sterban, tenor Joe Bonsall and baritone William Lee Golden. Brit blues-rockers: Foghat and Savoy Brown are in concert, 7:30 p.m. May 18, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. Foghat, known for its hit, “Slow Ride,” among others, was formed in 1971 when Lonesome Dave Peverett and Roger Earl left the British blues-rock band, Savoy Brown, Foghat has received eight Gold records, one Platinum record and one Double-Platinum record. Peverett died in 2000 and Rod Price died in 2005, but Earl has kept Foghat’s legacy going. The lineup includes, in addition to Earl, drums; Charlie Huhn, lead vocals, rhythm guitar; Bryan Bassett, lead guitar, and Rodney O’Quinn, bass. Savoy Brown, with “Train To Nowhere” among its hits, was founded in 1965 in London, England, by Kim Simmonds, guitar, who leads the band.
